Does the Babylon use more energy than a regular light fixture?
Babylon has very energy-friendly light sources and the transformation that makes the surface bend inwards causes very little energy-consumption.
Are you bending under the influence of heat?
Rest assured, I don’t need to warm up to be able to change shape.
What is your light source and is it sustainable?
Absolutely, my light source is state-of-the-art LED (dim to warm / warm white 2700K, or other on demand). Life expectancy of my light source is over 50.000 hours, which means that under normal circumstances it would need no replacement.
Do you need maintenance?
I just like good care.
How does your metamorphosis work?
it’s a well kept secret, patented too…I have a metamorphic unit that allows me to assume changing shapes in a gentle, fluent and silent way.
Can you be dimmed?
Of course . The transformation of my shape synchronously goes hand in hand with the modulation of light. The more I’m open, the brighter is my light.However you can also make other unlimited scenarios in terms of light and transformation, thanks to the three 0-10V inputs of my metamorphic unit.
What installation depth do I need?
I require appr. 17,5 cm installation depth.
Can I use Babylon if there is no home control in my project
Home control is great because you can create unlimited scenarios of light and transformation. However there is also a plug & play version with Bluetooth smart control available, or a Kinemodule can be installed for control of light and motion.
